Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City-Airport

The air conditioning system used for heating is extremely loud- you cannot rest without ear plugs and even using those it is pretty uncomfortable, very loud. The insulation is very low- temperature drops in 10 minutes with 5 degrees- windows are basically just decorations. The pictures are pretty depressive. I don’t even understand- when did the purpose of making the guests feel relaxed even with art on the walls ceased to exist? Hotels need to invest in uplifting art pieces. Other than that- I like the quality of the furniture even if it is outdated it is still pretty comfortable and not depressing- light brown colors, no grey! But the service, hospitality level is definitely dropped to like 5 ..out of 10 on a 10 scale.. I visited Homewood suites North Carolina Greensboro- wrote a review- it is a 10, out of 10! Worth visiting! I also visited the Springfield Homewood, that one was a 7 on the scale of feeling relaxed and comfy because of cleanliness, hospitality and service. In general I really like Homewood Suites anywhere but they definitely need to be more hospitable and please, kindly invest in uplifting pictures on the walls. Thank you. Regards, Elisabeth

I needed a hotel reservation last minute and the Hilton agent was very helpful in getting my room sorted. The hotel has suites, it's not just a room with utensils, a kitchenette, refrigerator, living and dining area, vanity - closet space, and a bathroom. There was a random pant in my closet which makes the house keeping services questionable but besides that there wasn't any issue. Check-in and check-out process was very smooth. Great value for your money. Decent amount of options for breakfast. Cranberry muffins were very nice.

I enjoyed their hot breakfast even without waffles. It was nice having two rooms, two dressers with lots of drawers, and two TVs. If you need a place with a sitting room and a kitchenette, this might be your place. Staff was accommodating, even if brief. Our major problem was the very cold ac. It reset itself to 69° by itself every few hours. The thermostat was not readily visible as it was behind the TV. From the response from the Front Desk we were not the first to ask for help. We were told the hair dryer was in a vanity drawer, but neither of us could open either one. The weather prevents us from using the outdoor pool. Note: They have now started charging for parking which was not mentioned on third-party website.

This hotel has a wonderful staff from the front desk Jimmy and a beautiful young lady I have to catch her name to especially the maintenance staff a huge shout out to Wanda, all the housekeeping gals and especially the incredible attention to guests comfort and service huge shout out to Santiago and Nelson these guys are top notch take good care of them they are all the face of Homewood suites.

We come into town every few months for our daughter to receive care at Children’s Mercy. We’ve stayed at various Hilton brand locations in the KC area but this location is one of the best we’ve stayed at and was very close to the clinic we needed. The staff was friendly and even gave my children little treasures from the treasure chest at the front desk when we checked out- was perfect for our 4 hour drive home! I also appreciated there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Room was clean, and breakfast was good. We will stay here again. CONS- 2 minor issues that don’t sway my opinion of this location but wish I knew- did not realize we had to pay for parking; the app was horrendous to use and I’m not even sure if it worked. We got to the hotel late at night so I tried the morning we left, so it may have been user error. The thermostat for the suite was tucked behind the tv in the common area, so my girls got really hot while sleeping on the pull out sofa until I found it in the morning.

I stayed here for an extended stay. The staff was all very friendly, polite and helpful. I was able to have my dog with me , so that was a huge plus. The hot breakfast was nice, with a great variety. It’s bright and cheerful and very clean. I loved how they decorated for the holidays, made you feel like you were home. Best part of all , they made me and my dog feel welcomed I would definitely recommend to others.

Perfect place to crash in kasnas... delicious breakfast. Great service. Well structured place. Overall a nice experience i had during my long stay.

Great Hotel and location. The rooms could use a refresh as they are pretty beat up. Also be aware even though you are staying on property they still charge you $13 per night parking. You don't receive anything extra for the $13 such as security or covered as there are still signs that say "Not responsible for auto breakins". This is just a money grab by the hotel and Hilton. Other than that, our stay was good, staff was excellent and the breakfast was great.
